Worm Castings

Frequently called black gold, worm castings are the best fertilizer you can add to your garden, plants, and shrubs.  They can be mixed into the soil when planting or transplanting. (75% soil; 25% castings).  Top dress existing plants and soil with 1-2 inches of castings.  You can even make liquid fertilizer by steeping casting in water (75% water; 25% castings). 

Worm castings provide excellent texture, moisture retention, essential microbes and bacteria that help with disease resistance.
